Kerri miraculously transformed our daughter from a very weak 26 week Preemie who came home from the NICU on oxygen and a g-tube after spending 8 months there, to an extremely physically active, well coordinated, sports loving little girl. Kerri treated her with physical therapy from when she was 8 months old till she was 3 years old when she phased out of needing treatment. We always had a gut feeling that Kerri was incredibly amazing but she proved it continuously in working with my daughter. She also received physical therapy through Early Intervention which showed me the stark difference in the quality and impact of Kerri’s technically savvy therapy.
Kerri is an amazing therapist who has invested her time and life in understanding the technicalities that constitute a premature child’s birth and life path. She is a true expert in her field as she is very knowledgeable about prematurity, it’s effects on a child’s brain and neurological effects. She is great at understanding how a child can be helped and how best his/her physical abilities can be altered through therapy to help them catch-up with their peers. Above all, she was able to truly connect with my daughter making therapy fun while being thoughtful and respectful of us as parents and our emotional turmoil.

There's not much that I can say about Kerri that doesn't bring me to the verge of tears. The truth is that there are very few people in the world who can do what Kerri does and I’m very lucky that we found her.
My daughter and son were both born prematurely and both needed a lot of help
when they were young. Kerri was able to work with them to make sure that they hit their
developmental milestones, that they could crawl, that they could walk. She just has a way of
interacting with a child that is unique and frankly better than any PT that I have ever seen.

As parents, Kerri taught us how to help in the process and how to make sure that we were doing what we needed to do. She did this while keeping us positive. After all, the process of physical therapy is not one that is over in a few days. You need a partner who you can work with, who you can trust. That’s what Kerri does for parents.

For my children, there was a joy that they felt when they played with her. They were excited when she came over, “Because, she was just awesome” as my wife put it. Keeping the attention and focus of a youngster is not an easy task, you need to keep a rhythm to the session, you need to keep them enthusiastic about doing the next exercise. With Kerri the sessions were always on the right beat.

Our son was born with Arthrogryposis in the lower extremities and right hip dysplasia. Kerri started treating him when he was a baby, and has been instrumental in his achievement of ambitious milestones, his successful recovery from open reduction hip surgery and avoiding the need for further surgical interventions.
Her thoroughness and perfectionism, combined with her extensive experience treating children with arthrogryposis, enabled her to recognize our son's potential and to gently but firmly push him to acquire age-appropriate skills despite his physical limitations. She has also built an excellent rapport with our son, and has always been available to answer our questions and concerns despite a very demanding schedule.
Our son is now four. Every time he jumps and runs we wonder if this could have ever been possible without "KK", as he likes to call her.

When we first realized our now 3 1/2 year old son had orthopedic issues related to Arthrogryposis, our main focus was finding the right surgeon. After meeting with several different doctors who told us our child would likely never walk independently, we had the good fortune to meet Dr. Feldman. Not only is he an amazing surgeon, but he is a doctor who understands the critical role that PT plays in the recovery and advancement of children with orthopedic issues. We are so incredibly lucky that Dr. Feldman introduced us to Kerri, who took on our son as a patient when he was 6 months old.
Kerri has been with us through every step of our son's development, and we can safely say that without her help and guidance he likely would not have walked on his own. While many therapists recommended devices and other supports, Kerri consistently believed in him and pushed him to exceed expectations and walk unassisted. Her respect for the strength and resilience of children is amazing, as is her dedication to them reaching their full potential. Her incredible knowledge base and years of experience allow her to assess where our son is, and develop and adjust the treatment plan to fit specific needs.
Our son, being a 3 year old, is not always excited about the work he needs to do in PT, it is clear to us that he loves, trusts, and respects Kerri; and they have formed a very close bond. We honestly don't know where we would be without Kerri's help. Her guidance through this experience, and her genuine respect and attention to our son's needs and development have literally been life changing for us. We realize that he will continue to need therapy for years to come, and there is no one else we would trust to help guide his way.
